T O P I C R E V I E WandstuffJust became curious. What placements show an age difference with long-term partners? Or a desirability thereof? [Obviously asking with a view to double checking I've got none ]Apart from Saturn in the 7th, 7H in Capricorn etc. Would be grateful for insight.PS to clarify: I was asking about a predestination to end up married to an older person, not inclinations or preferencestheunknown.EllynlvxVenus on the South Node (Synastry) sometimes indicates timing is off in some way.andstuff quote:Originally posted by theunknown:Venus conjucnt Uranus, or in Aqua makes one choose strange partner, disregarding normal convention. Well, it's not "hooking up," more like appreciating beauty in (falling in love with) people without considering typical norms. I have venus conjunct uranus (and neptune, and mars), and I don't hook up with older people per se, but I have a lot of friends who are so much older than me. I get along with them well. Ashton Kutcher currently dates someone his age, but he was married to someone older. So my interpretation is that the boundary of age is not "real" for these people. andstuff^ um, ok, I've got Venus in Aqua and frankly age boundaries are pretty real for me. I can be friends with people irrespective of age (have been palling around with teens to 60+), but to think i could give my youthful radiant beauty to someone with wrinkles around the eyes and a faded skin.... thats a bit out of the question. believe me i know what i'm talking about. was a total idiot in dating my uni course director once, he was twice my effing age. developed a strong aversion to age differences since and become a massive ageist. StarlightSmileSupremeI have Venus in Leo aspecting several planets including Jupiter. It's in house ten. My philosophy is, once someone hits the age of thirty or late twenties at the very least, they can date someone who's sixty and I won't bat an eyelash. At that age they should know what they want, their brains have developed to the point they can understand things better than what could a teenager or someone in their young twenties. What I have problems accepting are the sixty year olds dating and impregnating people in their teens and it happens where I live. I think whomever is that age and will impregnate some teenager is completely uncaring and ignorant and should be thrown in jail. That's unacceptable. andstufffor the exchange to be fair youth and beauty should be with youth and beauty, thats really all that has to be saidolder people have no right to claim another's youth and beauty because they have none to offer backi know this is not what my question was, but i could talk about it forever, being traumatised beyond measure even though... if I stood next to Arjen Robben (the Dutch football star) I would look like his daughter being less than a year younger Delilah423 quote:Originally posted by andstuff:for the exchange to be fair youth and beauty should be with youth and beauty, thats really all that has to be saidolder people have no right to claim another's youth and beauty because they have none to offer backSorry you were traumatized, but if you think it was only because of the other person's age, you might want to think again. And to say that older people (whatever that means) have no youth or beauty to offer back suggests to me that you have a lot left to learn. The youth and beauty of older people varies considerably from person to person, just like it does with younger people.Astrochologist quote:Originally posted by theunknown: Well, it's not "hooking up," more like appreciating beauty in (falling in love with) people without considering typical norms. I have lots of cap placements and prefer mature ppl, but I'm also similar to you. I think wide age gaps don't work, and even if they do, someone will end up dying too early... It's just not natural for families et al. You kinda have to figure on a case by case basis. It's also similar to death. My chart says I will travel a lot and hence will likely die abroad. But that's just likelihood. No one can tell for sure. Astrology is not all about prediction

older people have no right to claim another's youth and beauty because they have none to offer back
i know this is not what my question was, but i could talk about it forever, being traumatised beyond measure
even though... if I stood next to Arjen Robben (the Dutch football star) I would look like his daughter being less than a year younger
